Only what is necessary
Serein uses sign-in cookies and browser storage for authentication, your chosen language, your selected restaurant and checklist preferences, as described below. The site has no consent banner and does not install analytics or advertising cookies; everything stored is needed to provide the service you ask for or is a setting you chose yourself.
Sign-in cookies
serein_access and serein_refresh keep you signed in. They are HTTP-only, SameSite=Lax and Secure. The refresh cookie lasts up to 30 days; both are removed when you sign out.
The demo
serein_demo (or serein_demo_scoped) holds a signed demo session for the isolated demo. It lasts two hours and gives access only to synthetic demo data.
Your preferences
In your browser’s local storage we keep serein.locale (your chosen language), serein.tenant (the restaurant you last opened) and serein.setup.* (which steps of the setup checklist you hid). They contain no reservation details. You can clear them in your browser settings at any time.
Security check
When you book a table or send us a message, Cloudflare Turnstile may store a small security token in your browser to tell people from bots. It is needed to protect the forms and is not used for tracking.
Payment and sign-in pages
Stripe’s payment pages are hosted by Stripe and have their own notices. Blocking the sign-in cookies stops you from signing in; browsing the public pages still works.
Your language preference
Remove the saved language selection from this browser. Your current page and account session stay open.
Public guidance from the authorities: Datatilsynet (data protection) and Erhvervsstyrelsen (cookies and e-commerce).
